From February 7 to March 23, 2025, the Deutsches Goldschmiedehaus Hanau is presenting works by Pilar Schönborn and her label UNA. Her jewelry is characterized by a clear line and design language as well as the deliberate use of colour accents. Stainless steel, concrete, silver, powder coating or old pennies are the materials Schönborn uses to create small series.
Pilar Schönborn from Hanau graduated as a master goldsmith and state-certified designer from the Staatliche Zeichenakademie in Hanau in 2014. In the same year, she founded the UNA label, for which she received the 11th Hanau Jewelry Prize in 2024. She has been a goldsmith teacher at the Staatliche Zeichenakademie since 2016. The Hanau Jewelry Prize is awarded annually by the city of Hanau to jewelry makers who stand out for their innovative design, exciting concepts and craftsmanship.
