The diverse jewelry items were acquired on journeys over many years and originate from two private collections. Besides the universally familiar jewelry types, such as earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and rings, unusual exhibits from the Ottoman cultural milieu such as chest and foot jewelry, amulets, buckles, or head jewelry – the so-called “tepelik”, for instance – are on view in different techniques and material uses.
